About Elizabeth
Elizabeth hails from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, and is an experienced family law attorney.
Elizabeth attended undergraduate school at Mankato State University, where she graduated in 1996 with double majors in history and ethnic studies. As a full-ride athletic scholarship recipient, Elizabeth played basketball at Mankato State University throughout her college years. She graduated magna cum laude.
Elizabeth Weinandt went on to attend law school at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. While at William Mitchell, Elizabeth was accepted onto Law Review, competed in Moot Court, and worked as a law clerk for a Twin Cities law firm. Elizabeth volunteered her time to the Third Judicial District Public Defender Office, and in 2000, she was recognized by the Minnesota Justice Foundation for her volunteer contributions.
After graduating from William Mitchell, Elizabeth and her family returned to the Mankato area where she began her practice a large local law firm. During this time, Elizabeth grew her practice in the areas of family law and estate planning. In 2020, Elizabeth joined the firm of Kohlmeyer Hagen, Law office.

Elizabeth helps her family law clients with divorce, complex property division, custody issues (including those involving children with special needs), prenuptial agreements, and adoption. Elizabeth’s estate planning practice includes wills, trusts, healthcare directives, and probate.
Elizabeth is involved with various professional associations and organizations. Elizabeth is a member of Business and Professional Women, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and Minnesota Women Lawyers. Elizabeth has served as a Board Member for Life-Work Planning Center, Southern Minnesota Autism Coalition, and the Autism Advocacy Coalition of Minnesota. Elizabeth has given her time to St. Clair Economic Development Authority Board, St. Clair Public School Community Advisory Panel, Mankato State University “HOOPS Club,” and Athletics Community Advisory Panel.
