The Mankato Free Press recently wrote an article indicating that accused and cleared former MSU football coach has done an interview with ESPN Outside The Lines. Now for those of you who may not know, Outside The Lines is ESPN’s version of sitting down with Barbara Walters, usually well done stories that highlight some drama or built in story line, this article is no different.
The 10 minute video on ESPN.com is well done and shows the very difficult time that Coach Hoffner was put through, but that’s not the reason for this article. The reason is, will it help him? Often times when I represent case that get a lot of media attention, both locally and state-wide, my client will often talk about going to the media to try an present their side of the story. Most of the time this is a bad idea.
