I am a motivated attorney that works to obtain the best possible outcome for my clients. I practice criminal defense law for Kohlmeyer Hagen, Law Office Chtd. in southern Minnesota. Our firm helps clients in the southern third of the state. Prior to working with Kohlmeyer Hagen, I worked as a public defender in Alexandria, Minnesota, in Douglas County. As a result, I bring a unique perspective that is advantageous to clients. My criminal defense experience includes representing people with drug possession offenses, DWIs, traffic offenses, and other areas in criminal law. My skills include writing contested briefs, researching caselaw, keeping up with the ever changing law, and negotiating plea agreements to obtain the best outcome for clients. One of the advantages of working for a private firm is that I can spend the time necessary on each case to impactfully help my clients. Some of my non-legal experience includes military experience as I am currently serving in the Minnesota Army National Guard. My early military experience was in the U.S. Navy where I was deployed in 2001 on the U.S.S. Kearsarge for the Kosovo conflict and to Kuwait for the 2003 Global War on Terrorism Campaign.
